About this course
This six-week experience consists of inpatient and ambulatory components to provide students with the opportunity to participate in the evaluation and care of patients with surgical conditions. The focus will be on the development of clinical skills, including: conducting a focused medical interview and physical examination, documenting and communicating findings to the surgical team, clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis, generation of treatment plan, and assessment of acute surgical conditions.
