About this course
This is a 4-week clinical elective that may provide an overview of the principles and delivery of anesthesia for patients undergoing surgical, obstetric, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures while monitoring the patient?s condition and supporting vital organ functions. It may include the diagnosis and treatment for acute, chronic, and/or cancer pain as well as provide resuscitation and medical management for patients with critical illnesses and severe injuries. This elective may offer experiences in inpatient or outpatient areas.
